The first one-room school was established in Bayfield County in 1858, over 200 schools were established throughout the county during the peak period of immigration and settlement.  Sheree Peterson will present on the development of public education, both in Bayfield County and Wisconsin as a whole. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments by CoCo.
